Backblaze Nfs

  1. Filesystems are allowed to be pretty weird (afs, proc, sshfs, nfs, etc). But yep user expectations have to be calibrated. Tyingq 8 months ago. This is something that uses Couchdrop service (whatever it is) as a proxy for accessing these services.
  2. The implication is that Virtual Backup can literally turn any network or cloud storage allowing only basic file operations into a sophisticated deduplication server. Currently 5 storage backends are supported, including local or NFS-mounted disk, SFTP server, Amazon S3 storage, Wasabi, Microsoft Azure, and Backblaze.

Next, you will need to select which directories on your NFS/CIFS share you would like to backup. Step 5: Next, we will need to configure the IBM Storage Server with our B2-S3 credentials. You can retrieve this information in the “App Keys” section of your Backblaze account.

I currently use Proxmox as my virtualization platform with Freenas NFS as the backend datastore. It works pretty well.
I've just setup a backup to backblaze for the data that is not part of the datastore. It was pretty straight forward though that was just copying mostly static files.
How do I setup a backup for my VMs?
I can setup ZFS snapshots of the VM Datastore dataset however I don't see an obvious way to copy the snapshot to backblaze b2.
Is there a tutorial for me to sync the shapshot to backblaze or will the cloud sync task suffice?
Thanks,
Kirk
